Follow five young teenage girls on the night of, and day after, the biggest high school race of their lives. Using a feminist narrative approach, the show explores the complicated relationships young female runners have with their bodies, sexuality, and each other.
“And, I don’t know, I didn’t want to hear my parents fighting all of the time. I felt like, when I was home, I took up so much space in their house. Like the fights were too much, the lawyers were too much, the tears were too much, I was too much. I just wanted to disappear. Sometimes I still feel like that. Like I’m taking up too much space, too much attention. And I don’t. I don’t know what to do with that. But that’s not strength.”
