And four lovely raves:
"Rich, powerful, and often funny . . . Austin has few storytellers with more authentic skill in telling raw, intimate, earnest stories [than Ken Webster, artistic director of Hyde Park] . . . a powerful, and oft-hilarious, experience."
- Austin Examiner

"Both funny and sad, occasionally bawdy, and an excellent 90 minutes of theater. . . . The play reminds us of the beauty to be found in everyday lives . .. a captivating tale of three men and their relationships."
- Austin Amerian Statesman

"Each actor delivers his story gorgeously . . . A poignant lyricism that manages to both rip out your heart and make you laugh, sometimes in the same breath. . . . The darkness is served up with plenty of light. I had many LLOL moments (literal laugh out loud). . . . A show I strongly urge you to see. It really is just so beautiful."
- Spike Gillespie, Keeping Austin Austin

"This work is a showcase for the talents of three fine actors . . . director Ken Webster's touch is obvious in [Nate Jackson’s] impeccable comic timing . . . All three performances aredelightful to watch." - Austin Chronicle

From acclaimed Irish playwright Conor McPherson, author of The Weir, Shining City, and two of HPT's biggest past hits, St. Nicholas and The Good Thief: Port Authority is the interconnected story of three generations: a young man falling for his female roommate; a middle-aged alcoholic in a great job he can't handle; and a widower who receives a mysterious package. Hilarious, moving, superb theater.

The production stars Tom Green (Fixing King John, Middletown), Nate Jackson (punkplay), and Ken Webster (The Drawer Boy, St. Nicholas), who also directs.

The show runs at 8:00 PM on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, July 10 - August 9, 2014. Thursdays are Pay What You Can Nights. For the first four weeks (July 10 - August 2) Friday and Saturday tickets are $20 ($18 for students, seniors, military, and Austin Creative Alliance members). For the final weekend (August 7 - 9), Friday and Saturday tickets are $22 ($20 for students, seniors, military, and Austin Creative Alliance members).
