PLEASE NOTE: Hyde Park Theatre is not accepting unsolicited submissions at this time. We will announce it here and on our Facebook page when we open to submissions again.
When submissions are open, Hyde Park Theatre accepts electronic versions of full-length scripts. We produce works that confront, challenge, and entertain from both new and established writers. Intelligent emotion, dark humor, and eccentric wit are especially encouraged.
Hyde Park Theatre receives a high volume of submissions. We read every play that comes to us, and we will respond to playwrights and let them know if we are considering their work. In order to keep the backlog to a minimum, we ask that during open submissions, playwrights submit one play at a time, and that playwrights do not submit again until we've responded. We are interested in reading the play that is A) your best work that B) fits our mission. Please keep this in mind as you submit.
