The Short Fringe Every night we present a new bill of four or five plays no longer than 25 minutes each. Brilliant monologues? Plays in progress? Comedy improv? Cabaret singers? Avant-garde dance? Short films? Multimedia? We've seen it all. And show descriptions and tickets are now available.
Every Saturday night is a juried "Best of the Week" performance, and the last week, February 11-15, is the juried "Best of the Fest"--with a few wild cards thrown in. The "Best of" shows sell out quickly, so get your tickets soon.
Don't miss our closing week after-party. The doors open around 10:30pm on Saturday, February 15,
at Dane's Body Shop, right next door to Hyde Park Theatre. Seize your chance to look around without having to lift anything heavier than a beer. The party will be catered by El Alma, Austin Beerworks, and Beverage World. We hope to see you there!
The Long Fringe Longer productions (90 minutes or less) at Salvage Vanguard Theater: everything from new works by emerging playwrights to a World War II comedy. Show descriptions and tickets now available.
B.Y.O.V. (Bring Your Own Venue) The name says it all: participants bring not just their creative work but also their own venue. It's all part of FronteraFest. And this year we have a record SIX BYOV shows to choose from, from some of Austin's best theatermakers, at locations ranging from a church to a private home to the sidewalks of South Congress. Show descriptions and tickets now available.
Mi Casa Es Su Teatro A day of site-based work performed in local homes and other surprising locales, Mi Casa is consistently one of the most popular components of our festival. This year's Mi Casa is curated by writer/performer Rudy Ramirez with assistance from Cassidy Browning and Kyle Zamchek. Download a full, detailed schedule in PDF format with locations and descriptions of each piece.
Please note: there are no advance sales or reservations for Mi Casa. Tickets are $3 per performance payable in cash only at each venue. Don't miss the after party starting at the final location!
